June is the national month for foods such as Dairy, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, and Seafood. There are a bunch of national food days this month including: National Egg Day (3rd), National Cheese Day (4th), National Donut Day (6th) and National Lobster Day (15th), as well as National Herbs and Spices Day on June 10th.

It’s a great month to bring attention to some herbs and spices that are this month’s . . . .

THE SPICE OF LIFE - Healthy Herbs and Spices

For thousands of years, the health benefits of herbs - spices have been known to civilizations. Ancient peoples consumed, on purpose, spices and herbs that aided digestion, stimulated their appetites, gave them pain relief, and helped them fight illness and disease.
